Emma is thrilled to be back at St. Lawrence Barristers as a lawyer after completing her articles with the firm. Emma is developing a broad litigation practice with particular interests in administrative and regulatory law, defamation and privacy law, Charter rights and constitutional law, and support for victims of gender-based violence.

She is a creative problem-solver and highly driven advocate who brings a compassionate, client-centred approach to her work.

Emma graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2023. During her studies, she served as a caseworker in the Social Assistance, Violence and Health division at Parkdale Community Legal Services, where she represented low-income individuals with serious disabilities before the Social Benefits Tribunal. Emma was selected to be a Dean’s Fellow in Criminal Law, providing academic support to students in their first year of legal studies, and she completed a research position with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association through Pro Bono Students Canada. During her final year of studies, Emma represented Osgoode at the Laskin Moot Court competition, focused on administrative and constitutional law, in Halifax.

Prior to joining STLB, Emma worked at a criminal and regulatory defence firm, where she assisted with legal research and drafting for complex appellate-level cases.

Before pursuing a career in law, Emma gained experience working in the non-profit sector, designing and managing arts-based therapeutic programs for marginalized folks across the GTA. Emma holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. She is a proud  alum of "Mock Trial," Osgoode's annual student-run variety show fundraiser, to which she lent her creative and comedic chops as an executive producer and head writer.

Outside of her legal interests, Emma is an unashamed theatre nerd, an avid animal lover, and the owner of a pretty sweet vintage vinyl records collection.
